Hello there, I’m a 27M from England who’s been described as a brick shit house or a golden retriever. I’m especially into Halo (from CE to Reach and I’ve read all the books up to 2018), Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Crusader Kings 3, Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Space Marine 2, and Helldivers. I also love Assassin’s Creed, though I’m not a big fan of Shadows, Mirage, Odyssey, or Origins. I really enjoy games with deep lore, tough mechanics, and immersive worlds.\n\nWhen it comes to movies and shows, Lord of the Rings and Gladiator are always high on my list. I’m a big Star Wars fan, Rogue One is my favorite though I’m not a fan of most of the other films. I do really enjoy the Star Wars universe as a whole. Shows like The Mandalorian, What If…, and Love, Death & Robots also hit that perfect mix of sci-fi, creativity, and depth that I love.\n\nI’m also a bit of a collector. I have Halo and Star Wars helmets, lightsabers, and other memorabilia I’m a proud nerd, no shame in it. I recently got into Warhammer 40k and I’m working on building a Necron army. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but it’s a fun and creative way to unwind.\n\nOutside of my nerdy side, the gym is a huge part of my routine. My favorite lifts are dumbbell incline bench, preacher curls, and leg extensions. I know they’re simple, but the pump and stretch are addictive. Whats up? I guess this will be my post... im feeling pretty comfortable and anonymous here, so I can be open about anything and everything! Hopefully you feel the same\n\nFrom my perspective, I can imagine a lot of people who post here who are terribly lonely and isolated and its possible that they might be really awkward, have poor social skills, or some other trait that largely contributes to their isolation or lack of relationships. Probably this is always the easiest, most dismissive and most harsh explanation... which sucks. Obviously, when i find myself isolated it is confusing because I dont see myself with these characteristics.\n\nHonestly, kind of funny because its such an obvious parallel between other situations like poverty, mental illness, or Healthcare. "Well thats because they are bad with money" or "the wealthiest people are harder working or just super smart"... no. Well, now im on a tangent...\n\nAnyway, it sucks right? And probably most people reading this can relate. Its so bizarre because I'm a very social person, good communication skills, educated and even fairly good looking! Im friendly, and pretty energetic and smiley with my coworkers. But still i find myself isolated? Probably that is a very relatable feeling. I had a bunch of good friends in high school and college and some of them are still there but they live far away and rarely see them. I also live alone in a small town, which probably contributes to my isolation. I have set up social events myself and invited groups of 10+ to my apartment... it is so discouraging that they dont include me back..\n\nNot sure exactly how im feeling. Just.. frustrated honestly. What is this? Is this "Life"? Meanwhile theres a million other things going on within my life and having to navigate those things while also trying to make a priority to solve all... this (motioning at everything around me). \n\nI dont know...
